KEY Coalition Meeting

Join us for our monthly meeting on Thursday, December 12th at 10am!

Teri Moore will be joining us to talk about Circle of Care, which is a statewide program created to support children, youth, and families impacted by grief related to substance use disorder (SUD). They provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive grief support resources for vulnerable and/or impacted youth and those who work with them so they can respond confidently to their needs. This is a timely presentation as today starts National Grief Awareness Week.

Teri will also share a professional development opportunity happening in January that would be immensely helpful for providers in supporting youth who have a loved one with SUD or passed from SUD. There is a major gap in resources in the state that serve this need, so it would be fantastic if you and your network attend to learn more about this program and the professional development opportunity! You and your staff/network are welcome to join us for this portion of the meeting and then hop off after while our coalition covers other agenda items.

Email keycoalition@peerservices.org to get the zoom call information and calendar invite.

If you work with youth, there may be a chance that you are someone’s trusted adult or part of a youth’s support network. By knowing how to respond when youth are seeking help or advice about mental health and recognizing when they may need help, you can ensure that youth can be connected to the appropriate support.

If you have been interested in learning more about the connection between mental health and substance use or Erica’s Lighthouse, we highly recommend you join us! OPEN TO ALL!

Please email us (or DM on social media!) at keycoalition@peerservices.org to be sent the calendar invite and Zoom links.
